Kids Eye Screenings

Kiama Lions Clubs provide free eye screening for children through the Lions Eye Health Program (LEHP). These screenings help to identify vision issues early and are conducted by

trained volunteers at locations like schools and childcare centers. The eye screenings test for common problems such as blurry vision, depth perception issues, and amblyopia (lazy eye). If a problem is detected, parents receive a letter with results and are advised to consult an eye doctor for further evaluation.

Kiama Lions conduct screenings at the Kiama Surf Club on the 1st Sunday in March every year.
