The Lions Cottage, a beautiful retreat in Kiama NSW. The Lions Cottage, in Shoalhaven Street opposite Kiama Bowling Club, is an exciting project allowing local Lions clubs to mark the Centenary of Lions International. This has been a combined effort by members of Kiama, Gerringong, and Minnamurra Lions clubs

It is a joint Centenary of Lions project of Lions Clubs in Kiama, Gerringong and Minnamurra who have taken a Council owned house, that hadn’t been lived in for 30 years, and rebuilt it into a relaxing retreat for carers who are seeking a break to recharge.  The location, close to the main street, Surf beach and opposite the Bowling Club is perfect for a little quiet recuperation yet an easy walk to cafes, shops, the harbour, beaches and parks.

The project was completed using all local funding, donations and labour. A big deal in the Lions world that a project of this magnitude didn’t need to utilise any grants from Lions Australia or International.

The President of Kiama Lions adds “Creating the Lions Cottage has been an incredible experience for our local Lions Clubs. It was made possible with the support of Kiama Council and many local suppliers, tradies and people who contributed time, materials and money to create this wonderful property. We’re very grateful that the local community continues to support this initiative.

The Lions Cottage is now available to book accommodation from 2 nights up to a week.
